After 35 incredible years supporting our local design community, IDI is ready for a glow-up! ✨
At the heart of IDI has always been the Chair Affair Gala and the Kelli Fry Endowment Scholarship. To honor our legacy and ensure these traditions thrive, IDI is evolving. Beginning January 1, 2026, IDI will officially become Chair Affair Community (CAC)—with the Gala as our primary focus.
This change reflects the tremendous support we’ve received over the years and allows us to build even more excitement and involvement around this signature event.
What this means for you:
For a small annual subscription (Jan–Dec), members of CAC will enjoy:

(Monthly luncheons will no longer be organized by IDI, but CAC encourages members to use the directory to connect and coordinate events on your own—flexible and on your terms.)A Dedicated Chair Affair Community Website
(Funded by your subscription, this hub will provide streamlined details, updates, and resources for the Gala. Plus, look out for our new email, website, and social channels!)A Stake in the Gala’s Future
(Membership means participation! Every member has a voice and a role in making this event a success. The Gala will be organized by the community, for the community—with everyone pitching in.)
